On behalf of the staff, I would like to wish all the children, parents, carers and our community partners a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year as we move into the festive period.

‘BBC Children in Need’ Appeal
We raised a fantastic £55.50 for ‘BBC Children in Need’. Thank you very much for your kind donations. The Children had great fun doing activities in their houses.
Holidays
St Andrews Day and Eyemouth Learning Community Casual Holiday
School will be closed to pupils and staff on Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd December 2025.
Christmas lights at the clock tower
The Christmas Light Switch On in the village will be taking place on Sunday 30th November at the clock tower. Norham Brass Band will be playing from 3.30pm with the lights being switched on at 4.00pm. The children are welcome to come along with their parents/carers to join in with the Christmas Carols. Thank you
Parent Council Christmas Raffle – Friday 19th December
PFA are looking for donations for their Christmas Raffle. If you have a donation please hand it into school by Thursday 18th of December. Tickets will be £1 and available from the school office from Wednesday 3rd December. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 19th December.
Ayton Mini Market
Mr and Mrs Hall from Ayton Mini Market have once again kindly donated an Advent Calendar and Christmas decoration to every pupil in the school. We would like to say a big thank you to them for their very kind donations over the years. Christmas decorations can be handed into school and will be delivered to the shop so they can decorate with them. These will then be returned to the children.
Whole school Play – The Magical Christmas Jigsaw
On Tuesday 9th December, the whole school are performing in “The Magical Christmas Jigsaw” at 1.30pm. There will also be another afternoon performance on Wednesday 10th December at 1.30pm and an evening performance, also on Wednesday 10th December at 6.00pm.
Please ensure your child/children are brought back to school from 5:30pm to get ready for their evening performance. Thank you
Forms to request tickets for all performances will be sent home tomorrow on Friday 28th November. Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Please can all ticket requests be returned to the school office by Wednesday 3rd December. Thank you
Christmas Lunch
We will be having our Christmas lunch on Wednesday 17th December. Pupils can wear something Christmassy to school. See menu below:
- Roast Turkey (gravy optional), chipolata pork sausage, roast potatoes, peas and carrots.
- Quorn Fillet (gravy optional), vegan sausage, roast potatoes, peas and carrots.
- Chocolate Christmas truffle or festive fruit salad.
Please ensure you order your child’s Christmas Lunch on ParentPay before Wednesday 10th December
Christmas Parties
P1-P7 Parties for all children will be held on Monday 15th December in the afternoon. We will be hosting a fun afternoon for the children so they can enjoy party games, social dancing and fun activities in their classes and year groups. Please ensure your child brings their party clothes to school in a bag and they can change into them before their party afternoon commences after lunchtime. Thank you
Christmas Church Service
You are all invited to join us for our end-of-term Christmas Church Service on Thursday 18th December at 1.30pm in Ayton Parish Church.

- Monday 1st December: St Andrews Day holiday
- Tuesday 2nd December: Eyemouth Learning Community casual holiday
- Tuesday 9th December: P1 to P7 Christmas Show 1.30pm
- Wednesday 9th December : P1 to P7 Christmas Show 1.30pm
- Wednesday 9th December: P1 to P7 Christmas Show 6:00pm. Please bring pupils back to school from 5.:30pm to get ready for their evening performance.
- Monday 15th December: Christmas Parties for the whole school from 1:00pm
- Wednesday 17th December: Christmas Lunch 🎅 Children can wear something Christmassy if they wish to.
- Thursday 18th December: Church Service at Ayton Parish Church 1.30pm
- Friday 19th December: Last day of term.
- 5th January: School resumes
