- June 2025 NewsletterRead more- Parents Portal — Primary aged children only- Parents Portal is a new system that has been introduced by Scottish Borders Council, with the goal of being a single hub for all communication between parents / carers and schools. It is a platform which allows you to update your child’s information through the annual data check, give permissions for various trips and activities, and receive notifications about school events and activities via the school calendar. It will also allow you to link ParentPay and other useful services to your home page.

It was lovely to see so many of you in Ayton Parish Church. Many thanks to all staff, Mrs Susan Patterson, Primary 7 pupils, and Mr. Graham Dolan for their support during these events.

It was lovely to see so many of you in Ayton Parish Church. The PFA raised a wonderful £425.90 with raffle sales and book sales, this is going towards funding for the Trim Trail. Many thanks for all the support with fundraising.

- School Improvement ReportRead more- Review of Progress 2022-23- Context of the setting- Ayton Primary School is a small rural school in Berwickshire which is part of the Eyemouth Learning Community Schools. The catchment area includes Ayton village, Foulden village and the surrounding communities. We have some children who are placement requests from Burnmouth, Eyemouth and Chirnside. Pupils either walk to school or travel by car or school transport.

As a change to her previous role working across 3 schools (Ayton, Coldingham and Co’path), Mrs MacLeod will be based at Ayton Primary where she is needed to take on a class teaching responsibility. 
- February NewsletterRead more- P5-7 Cross Country- Niamh, our Active Schools co-ordinator has organised the P5-7 cross country to take place on Wednesday 22nd February from 10am until 12 noon. Transport will be provided and children will be back in school for lunchtime. Children should come dressed in warm outdoor P.E. clothes with a water bottle and snack.
